News 2006

2006 summary: We are very happy to announce Int Nord Ch NV-05 BISS-06 Shavano's Ghanima Leah's placement as topp winning ridgeback female 2006, after a great year in the show ring, this was a very nice closing of the year:o) 
In addition to giving birth to a litter 2. of january this year, Leah has managed to bring home the Danish champion titel, Nordic champion titel, BIS at the Danish spesial, International champion titel, several BOB/BOS placements and now also topp winning RR.
Leah's pups have also been out and about, winning several BOB/BIG/BIS puppy placements, their first CC's and Nordic Junior Winner titel 2006.  
Nord DK Ch Shavano's Boss Quentin managed to bring home the Danish champion titel at the age of 7 1/5 year, with his placement as 2nd best male at the Danish specialty. 
S Ch SV Ch Shavano's Changa Ninja achievied the titel: Swedish field tracking champion.
Shavano's Haijambo Acèla brought home three CC's early 2006, later she has not been shown, but will be seen again in the ring in 2007.
Two litters, I-litter and J-litter was born and we are looking forward to see these youngsters more next year. 
So, we are looking forward to an active 2007 with "old" and new friends.

20/11: The Nordic Winner show was this year held in Hamar, Norway. We had only entered two dogs from Shavano, our two junior siblings, Ayo and Jambo. Ayo was first out in junior males, he got a 1st prize and placed 3rd. After some waiting, it was finally time for the junior bitches, Jambo got a 1st prize and in the competition class, she placed 1st with honours prize. This means that our young girl (10 months old) can add the titel Nordic Junior Winner 2006 to her name, of course we are very happy with the result:o)

11/11: Again we had a great day in the show ring. 10 months old Shavano's I am Atlas son Ayo placed 1st in winner class with his first CC, in the best male competition his daddy, N Ch Garry's Choise is Simsela Atlas placed 1st and Ayo 2 nd best male. Gry just had an operation in her arm and i was asked to handle Ayo, so this was our first time in the ring. Big congratulations to Gry and her stunning boys:o)
Our young girl, Shavano's I am Jambo, was no less, she also placed 1st in winner class with her 1st CC, in best bitch she placed 2nd. Not bad from theese young syblings:o) Jambo just started her first heat last week-end and is no easy task to handle, but we managed to get through it.

6/11:  Leah continues strutting her stuff in the ring, she's had an amazing year in the show ring. This week-end we headed of to the International show in Herning, Denmark, with some hopes for the last CACIB. And Leah did it, she first went of and won the champion class of 5 females, she then proceeded on to be placed best bitch with the last CACIB to complete her International champion titel, I can tell you that the trip home was not long:o) Leah ended up as BOS.

Our very nice travelling company: Stepanka and cesky terrier Doffen,  placed best male with CC and CACIB, Doffen can then add Danish Champion to his titels, big congratulations and thank's for a great trip to Denmark.

29/10: Yet another great day for us in the showring, Ayo ones again awarded honours prize from junior class ( i'm shure his first CK is not far away:o)), Jambo at her 2nd show in official class awarded honours prize from junior class, 2nd in winner class with champion quality and ended up as 3rd best bitch, not bad at all from this young lady, competing against only open class females in winner class! Leah did it again today, best bitch BOB and BIG 2. Judge: Peter Rejanek, 19 RR's entered.

28/10: We have spent the day at NDK's all breed show in Letohallen, Ayo and Jambo entered in junior class and both recieved honours prize and placed 2nd in winner class(just one place from the CC!!), not bad from these two juniors:o)
Their mother Leah (Nord Ch NV-05 Shavano's Ghanima Leah)placed best bitch BOB and BIG 2, daddy Atlas was no less, he picked best male and BOS. Judge for the day was Frank Christiansen, Norway, 16 RR's entered.

24/9: On friday i went of to Åland(Finland) with Leah, my co-worker Stepanka and her chesky terrier Doffen. In the  evening we settled in at the cabin and had a nice sleep. Saturday was time for the Internationl show on Åland, Stepanka and Doffen was first out, Doffen did not have his day and ended up as 2nd in open class.
Leah was the only bitch in open class and was awarded champion quality, then it was time to compete for the CC/CACIB. The placement in best bitch was very quickly settled, the judged was left with 6 females in best bitch competition, he picked out the first from junior class and the last from champion class and...there was best bitch finnished! Leah ended up as 2nd best bitch with res. Cacib, beaten by a youngster who got both CC and CACIB....even though this was e very nice placement, i quite felt like we ended up with "nothing"!!
Well well, we had a very nice trip and already on the way home, we planned where to go next time, so we will for shure "be back" to try for this last CACIB:o)

13/8: Wow, what a day we had at the Danish RR Club's special yesterday.
Nord Ch Shavano's Boss Quentin was the only male entered from our kennel and he shure defended our honour in the males class. In a big open class of 13, our "old man" went of and placed 1st with champion quality, in the best male class he was beaten by the only male older than him(Multi Ch Kinyemi Anzi A'Bhubesi) as 2nd best male he was awarded CC, thus completing his Danish Champion titel (this at the tender age of 7 years!!), we are so proud of Quentin. Big congratulations to Åsa:o)
In the bitch class we had sisters Leah and Marula entered, Marula was awarded excellent but was unplaced in the open class. Leah though did better, out of 18 open class females she placed 1st with champion quality and in the best bitch competition she went "all the way" and placed best bitch with CC and also she got the Danish Champion titel, since Leah allready is Norwegian and Swedish Champion, she can now be titeled Nordic Champion. To top of the day Leah run home a very nice BIS win against the male. No need to say that we where happy with the day, two new champions and one BISS. 10/8: Marula was mated to Victor today, now we wait in excitement for the ultrasound in a few weeks! 

9/8: Big congratulations to Ninja(S Ch SV Ch Shavano's Changa Ninja) and Lotta, on achieving the new titel: Swedish field tracking champion today, well done, we are so proud of you:o)

3/7: We spent a very hot and sunny day at the International show in Trondhjem on sunday, the results where excellent. Shavano's Haijambo Acèla placed 5th best bitch with champion quality, N S Ch NV-05 Shavano's Ghanima Leah placed best bitch with CACIB and BOS. Our veteran, N S Ch Shavano's Binti Thamani was BOB veteran, but coulden't quite cope with the youngsters and was unplaced in best bitch. Jugde: Arne Foss, 19 RR's entered. 25/6: We have had a lovely show week-end, starting with Shavano's I am Jambo placing BOB puppy and BIG2 yesterday.
First out today was Ayo and Jambo in puppy class, Ayo was BOB and Jambo BOS. Ayo then placed BIG 1, but was unplaced in the show.
Shavano's Haijambo Acèla did excellent from youngster class, bringing home her 3rd CC and best bitch, N S Ch Shavano's Binti Thamani was awarded champion quality from veterans class and placed nicely 2nd best bitch behind her daughter and also BOB vetaran. Acèla and N Ch Garrys Choise is Simsela Atlas(father of our I-litter) was competing about BOB/BOS and Acèla was picked out as todays BOB, she then placed 2nd in group finals.Judge: Janusz Opara. So, we had a lovely week-end, thank's to Lena and Gry for a nice day, and big congratulations on great results.

11/6: At the Vänersborg KC show in Sweden yesterday, S Ch Shavano's Changa Ninja brought home BOB and BIG 3, H-litters dad Int Nord Ch Mankoya's Great Gambo placed BOS. Today was another great day for the Zaxxon kennel, as Ninja's kids Zaxxon's Queen Akilah placed BOB with CC and Zaxxon's Prince Bosco was BOS with CC. Big congratulations to Lotta and Johan at Zaxxon's kennel for the excellent results.

Shavano's I am Atlas son Ayo was out and about in the heat today and was BOB and BIG 1 at a puppy show. Congratulations to Gry and Ayo, well done:o)

Ninja BOB-BIG 3

5/6: This week-end it was the Norwegian RR special and we had a very nice week-end, with lots of "Kennel" friends and "breed" friends.
Saturday the pups where judged, in 4-6 months males, Shavano's I am Martin and Atlas son Ayo competed. Ayo placed 1st and Martin 2nd in the class, Ayo then competed about best male with the winner of the 6-9 months class and ended up as 2nd best male. In the bitch class, Shavano's I'am Kimba and Jambo entered, Jambo placed 1st in this class and Kimba managed a nice 3rd place in the 4-6 months female class. Jambo then won best bitch and finally placed BOS puppy. Jambo was also picked out to compete about best ridge and with here excellent ridge, she won the price for best ridge puppy. 20 puppies was entered and judge was Wenche Enger.

Sunday was the day for all the  official classes. No males from Shavano was entered, so we just enjoyed the male competition and waited for the femles to be judged. In junior class Shavano's Haijambo Luna and Casha competed, Casha placed nicely 2nd with honours price and Luna placed 5th, 8 junior females was entered.
In open class Shavano's Ghanima Marula and Shavano's Changa Ninja was entered. Ninja recieved excellent and was unplaced in the winner class. Marula really had "her day" and strutted her stuff in the ring, after several rounds in the ring, the judged was left with three girls competing for the CC. He then decided to do another examination of the dogs and now Marula said NO, don't touch me!!!! Aargh.......everyone who has been there, knows the feeling!!!!

N S Ch NV-05 Shavano's Ghanima Leah placed 3rd in champion class and 4th best bitch.
Tammy(N S Ch Shavano's Binti Thamani)has entered the veterans lines and loved being in the ring again, though she was a bit "to much"(hmm...light food for here from now:o)) and placed 3rd in veteran class with honours price.
This was the first year since 2000 there was enough Shavano dogs entered to compete in breeder's class, the class consisted of Leah, Ninja, Marula and Luna, we placed second with honours price.
So, after all several nice placements, though none of the "top" places this day, we had a very nice week-end and wish to thank all Shavano dogs and familys for being there and making this a lovely week-end. Judge: Helge Werner Hagen, 96 RR's entered.

25/5: Today was Jambo and Ayo's first time in the show ring. They both behaved ecxellent and recieved good critiques. Jambo placed BOS and Ayo BOB - BIG 1 and finnished of as Best puppy in Show 3 out of a total of 80 puppies, a really great start of his show career. Big congrats to Gry and Ayo for this excellent debute.

19/5: Our very special girl has left us. Thank you Casha for bringing us so much joy and hapiness, you will always have a special place in our hearts.

10/5: On sunday it was time for the international show in Kristiansand, the only dog from Shavano entered was 
N S Ch NV-05 Shavano's Ghanima Leah, she once again placed 1st in champion class(4 champions) and ended up as 2nd best bitch with res.cacib. Thanks to Gry who took so good care of Leah and brought her to the show.

26/3: At saturday me, Lena and four dogs headed off to Bergen international show. After a long drive for 7 1/5 hour, we finally arrived. I was very happy to meet up with Kela from I-litter and family, it was so nice to see you all again.
Sunday morning we went to NKK's international show, our three first dogs compeeting, did'nt get the best results, Lena's male, Dumèla Ra Eshabo excellent and third in winner class, Shavano's Haijambo Acèla got a second prize! and Shavano's Ghanima Marula once again placed one dog behind the CC!!
I was very happy that Leah could make our long drive well wourth it, she placed 1 in champion class(four champions), best bitch with CACIB and finally BOB. So Leah started the year very well, only three months after her pups was born. Judge: Gunnel Holm, 17 RR's entered. (since we had a very long drive back home, over the mountains, we did not wait for the group finals.)

I'm also very happy to announce that Acèla's hip and elbow results came back with HD: A, ED: Free.

19/3: At a show yesterday, Shavano's Haijambo Luna placed 2nd best bitch with champion quality, only beaten by her "kennel sister" Akilah(Zuri's daughter), congratulations to Anne Karin and her girls.
Sister Acèla placed 2nd i junior class with honours price and 4th i winner class, Marula got an excellent and 5th i winner class.
Today, our girl, Shavano's Haijambo Acèla was nr.1 in junior class with honours price, she then managed to place 1st in winner class with her 2nd CC and at last BOS. Luna was 2nd and Casha 3rd in junior class, congratulations to all with great results.
We also send our biggest congratulations to H-litter's dad, Nord Ch Mankoya's Great Gambo and Birgitta, whom managed to bring home a very nice BOB at the Malmö International show today with 90+ RR entered. Way to go Gambo and Birgitta.

21/2: Shavano's Haijambo Casha was shown in junior class for the first time on sunday, she got an excellent and she was so happy;o) New picture of Casha here.

6/2: Acèla's first time in junior class ended up with CC and 2nd best bitch, 11 months old(saturday).
On sunday, Shavano's Ghanima Marula was 3rd best bitch with champion quality.

22/1: Shavano's Haijambo Luna was shown for the first time in junior class yesterday and did great, she was awarded champion quality and placed 3rd best bitch. Congratulations Luna and family.

4/1: A few days earlier than expected, the puppies arrived on monday 2nd of january. 13 puppies where born, one was unfortunately dead, 2 with DS and 2 with multi crowns. Leah now has 8 beautiful puppies, 4 males and 4 females, all with correct ridges. Leah did a great job during the birth and mother and pups are doing fine. Thanks to my very helpful birth assistants Irene and Jorunn for all the help and company during the birth.
